Cricket betting at bet jile — place bets on all matches from BPL to the T20 World Cup
Cricket betting makes every over more engaging alongside watching the bat-and-ball action. bet jile has T20, ODI and Test format matches, a wide range of betting markets and live in-play betting — all in Bengali.
T20, ODI and Test — three formats, three different experiences
T20 — fastest and most popular
For Bangladeshi fans, T20 means the tension of the final over. Franchise battles in BPL, along with IPL and the T20 World Cup — in these tournaments the pace of the match can change on every ball. In T20, you can bet on various markets including total runs over/under, toss and even Super Over.
ODI — the strategy game
Team strategy matters far more in a fifty-over match. ODI betting markets are the most detailed for Bangladesh Tigers' ICC events and bilateral series. Many bettors take greater interest in second-innings bets after the mid-innings break, based on the team's position and pitch conditions.
Test — the patience test
In a five-day Test match, a draw is a valid result, so there is an opportunity to bet on all three outcomes. The rate of wickets falling, batting conditions and weather changes — all of these are reflected in the betting markets. Odds shift more slowly in Test compared to T20, but a single wicket in live betting can cause an immediate large change.
BPL is Bangladesh's domestic T20 league — this competition featuring local and overseas stars generates huge interest across the country. Bangladeshi fans also follow IPL and ICC tournaments closely. In international series, each Bangladesh Tigers match is generally the most discussed on betting platforms.
Popular cricket betting markets and examples
Beyond which team wins a match, there are many other types of bets available. The seven markets below are the most commonly used.
Match winner
The simplest market — pick whether team A or team B will win. In T20 and ODI there are only two outcomes; in Test a draw is also possible.
Toss winner
You can bet on the toss result before the match starts. There are only two outcomes, so the odds are generally close.
Top run scorer
Which batsman in a team will score the most runs — this market lists separate odds for each batsman.
Total runs over/under
Whether the total runs will exceed a specific number (e.g. 160) — bet over if you expect more runs, under if you expect fewer. Pitch and weather play a big role in this market.
Multi bet
Selecting the results of multiple matches on a single ticket multiplies the odds for a larger return — but if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost. A detailed example is given in the FAQ below.
First innings score
You can bet on the runs range for the first innings before the full match plays out. The pitch behaviour and batting line-up are the main factors here.
More markets: wickets, boundaries and partnerships
Beyond match winner or total runs, markets are also available on bet jile for how many runs will be scored in a specific over, how many wickets a bowler will take, or when the first boundary will come. These generally update live during approved matches. The odds for each market change according to the match situation, so timing your decision matters.

Decimal, fractional and American — odds in three formats
The price of the same bet is written in three different formats. bet jile generally uses the decimal format, but understanding the other two formats is also useful.
| Format | Odds for team A to win | Odds for team B to win |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.25 |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 1/4 |
| American | +150 | -400 |
Example 1 — Team A (underdog)
On a ৳200 bet, if team A wins you get back ৳500 (৳300 profit + ৳200 stake). If they lose, ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B (favourite)
On a ৳200 bet, if team B wins you get back ৳250 (৳50 profit). American -400 means you need to stake ৳400 to make ৳100 profit.
Which format should you choose?
Decimal format is the easiest — multiply the number by your stake to get the total return. Fractional is popular in the British market, and in American format (+) means underdog and (-) means favourite.
In a limited-overs cricket match there is no draw, so only two teams' odds are shown in the market. If one goes up, the other comes down — because the total implied probability always stays balanced.

Live betting — odds shift with every wicketLIVE
You can still place bets after the match has started — that is live or in-play betting. After each wicket, the losing team's odds go up and the leading team's odds come down. If three wickets fall in a powerplay, the batting team's chances of winning naturally drop and the platform updates the odds immediately.
Decisions in live betting must be made quickly, because odds can change within seconds. At the end of each over, after a big shot or a run-out — these moments directly affect the betting odds.
In an ODI match, once the first innings ends you have the opportunity to bet on the second innings based on the target set. In a Test match, if one team is clinging on with only a few wickets in hand on the final morning, the odds for draw versus win shift dramatically.
Live betting is even easier on the bet jile mobile app — you can place bets directly while watching the match. Both Android and iOS versions are available through official channels.
How betting on football and other sports differs
Alongside cricket, bet jile also offers betting on football. Football has three possible results — home win, away win and draw. For this reason, the odds structure in football is different from cricket, and handicap markets are more popular there.
In cricket, specific markets like toss, powerplay runs or a batsman's individual runs come from the nature of the game. Their equivalents in football are goalscorer, number of corners or half-time score. Understanding the format of the sport makes it easier to decide which market to bet on and how to read the odds correctly.
If you are also interested in online gaming beyond cricket, virtual casino has live table games and card games — a completely different experience from sports betting.
Cricket vs football: key differences
- In cricket, the match format (T20/ODI/Test) directly influences the odds
- In football a draw is always possible — three odds are listed
- In cricket, live betting odds can change on every ball
- Handicap markets are more common in football
- Multi bets are available in both sports
Some useful tips for cricket betting
Focus on one market
It is better to understand one or two markets well before gradually moving to others.
Set a budget
Decide how much you will bet before each session. Betting is for entertainment — not as a source of income.
Bet with an understanding of the format
Pitch conditions, team composition and weather affect T20 and Test matches in completely different ways.
Be careful with multi bets
Combining multiple bets increases the return, but even one wrong selection means the whole ticket is lost. Start with fewer selections.
Be patient in live betting
Odds in in-play change quickly — assess the situation before placing a bet rather than rushing.
